In-Home Lifetime Warranty
Buy once. Cry once. We mean it.
On Body-Solid strength equipment, the frame, the pulleys, the bearings, the cables, even the upholstery are covered for as long as you own the machine - not just the year after you unbox it. If something fails from normal use, we get a tech and the part to your house. This is the reason people pay more up front to buy from us once instead of buying twice from someone else.
What "In-Home Lifetime" actually means
Two things people usually get wrong about "lifetime warranty," so let's be exact.
"Lifetime" means the machine, not just the frame. On Body-Solid's flagship strength line, the frame, the moving parts, and the wear parts are all covered as long as you own it. That's the whole point - a rack that never bends but a cable that snaps in year two isn't a lifetime warranty, it's a marketing line.
"In-Home" means service comes to you. No shipping a 300-lb home gym back to a warehouse. We coordinate the part and the repair at your address.
Coverage runs to the original purchaser and is non-transferable - it's tied to you, not the equipment.
What's covered for life, concretely
Frame & welds
The steel that holds everything together. Covered for life against structural failure.
Pulleys, bushings, bearings, hardware, plates, guide rods
Everything that moves, spins, or bolts the machine together. Covered for life.
Cables, upholstery, grips
Covered for life under normal residential wear - the parts most other brands quietly cap at a year or two.
Not covered: paint and finish. This is cosmetic coverage, not structural or mechanical, and it's the one exclusion on the flagship line. Everything above it is covered.
Us vs. the typical direct-to-consumer warranty
Most brands selling home gyms online lead with "lifetime warranty" in the headline, then narrow it fast in the fine print. Here's the honest comparison.
| Coverage | Drop Box Gym (Body-Solid In-Home Lifetime) | Typical direct-to-consumer brand |
|---|---|---|
| Frame | Lifetime | Often lifetime frame only |
| Cables & pulleys | Lifetime | 1-3 years or excluded |
| Upholstery & grips | Lifetime | Limited or excluded |
| Weight plates & hardware | Lifetime | Limited or excluded |
| Bearings & guide rods | Lifetime | 1-3 years or excluded |
"Lifetime frame only" is a real, common warranty structure in this category - it's just not the whole machine. Read what a competitor's warranty covers past the frame before you compare price.
Warranty by product tier - the honest version
Not every product on our site carries the same warranty, because not every product is built to the same standard. The tier tracks the equipment, and it's stated on every product page so you know exactly what you're buying before you buy it.
| Line | Warranty |
|---|---|
| Body-Solid (flagship strength) | In-Home Lifetime on frame, pulleys, bushings, bearings, hardware, plates, guide rods, cables, upholstery, and grips. Excludes paint/finish. |
| Endurance by Body-Solid (cardio) | Lifetime on the frame, 5 years on parts, 2 years on electronics, 1 year labor, 6 months on wear items like the seat and brake pad. |
| Powerline & Best Fitness (entry lines) | Shorter terms than the flagship line - check the specific product page for exact coverage. |
We'll say this plainly because it matters: cardio equipment is not lifetime-everything. It's lifetime frame plus 5 years on parts. Strength equipment on the flagship Body-Solid line is where the full lifetime coverage lives. If lifetime-everything is your requirement, that's the line to buy from.
How to make a claim
- Contact us with your name, the product, and a description of the issue.
- Send proof of purchase. Your order confirmation or receipt from Drop Box Gym is enough - keep it on file.
- We coordinate the part and the service. If it's a covered defect from normal use, we get the replacement part and a technician scheduled at your home. No boxing up a power rack and shipping it anywhere.
The fine print, plainly
- Coverage applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
- Equipment must be used in a residential setting. Commercial or facility use falls under a separate, shorter Light Commercial warranty.
- Paint and finish are not covered under the lifetime terms - this is cosmetic wear, not structural or mechanical failure.
- Wear-item coverage (cables, upholstery, grips) applies to normal use, not damage from misuse or abuse.
- Cardio equipment (Endurance by Body-Solid) follows its own tier: lifetime frame, 5 years parts, 2 years electronics, 1 year labor, 6 months on seats and brake pads - not the same terms as strength equipment.
