The SDS900 is old-school iron done right - five pairs of grey cast hex from 80 to 100 lb, 900 lb of bare metal with nothing to peel or crack. Heads are cast from ASTM grade 20 gray iron around two high-carbon roll pins set through knurled steel handles, so the head and handle are one piece. Abuse them and they hold. Six-sided heads sit flat and never roll.
